Introduction

In the Faith & AI Project Podcast episode with Leticia Garcia (Harvard Business School), she emphasized that effective leaders need more than IQ (intelligence) and EQ (emotional intelligence). They also need CQ — contextual intelligence.

Contextual intelligence is the ability to read the signs of the times, connect the dots, and adapt wisely. For Catholic leaders, this overlaps with our tradition of discernment: prayerfully considering context, mission, and calling to make faithful decisions.

The resource below is designed to help you reflect on the three intelligences, your unique context, discern how AI fits in to your context, and map out action steps you can take to move forward with confidence and hope.

“Only the human can be sufficiently self-aware to the point of listening and following the voice of conscience, discerning with prudence, and seeking the good that is possible in every situation.”

— Pope Francis, Antiqua et Nova
